Online

The Supreme Court will begin a new term on October 4th. Among the cases being heard this term are Dobbs v. Jackson Women’s Health Organization, which regards a Mississippi law banning abortions after 15 weeks, and New York State Rifle & Pistol Association v. Kevin P. Bruen, which asks whether states can require citizens to provide “proper cause” for the need to carry a handgun outside the home.

In order to preview these and other cases, Ashbrook is hosting a special webinar with Adam Carrington, Associate Professor of Politics at Hillsdale College and Ashbrook alumnus. Dr. Carrington is a keen scholar of the Supreme Court and has written numerous pieces on topics involving the Court for publications such as the Washington Examiner, Fox News, National Review, and Newsweek. Ashbrook Executive Director Jeff Sikkenga will host the conversation with Dr. Carrington and questions will be welcomed from the audience.

In addition to previewing select cases from the Supreme Court’s upcoming docket, Dr. Carrington will shed light on the history and procedures of the Court as they relate to the pressing issues facing our nation today.

If you want insight on the consequential decisions that may be handed down this term, you won’t want to miss this informative webinar.

Registration is free and the webinar will be held via Zoom.
