Michael Medved

Where and when

Michael Medved is a film critic, best-selling author and national television personality whose specialty is Hollywood and the effect of popular culture on American society. He is co-host of “Sneak Previews,” the weekly movie review show that airs in more than 150 cities.

The author of many books, Mr. Medved’s most renowned works include What Really Happened to the Class of ’65?, a piece about the inner workings of the White House staff; and Hospital: The Hidden lives of a Medical Center Staff, which was selected as a Critics’ Choice by Time, The Washington Post and The Los Angeles Times.

With his brother, he has written four popular satirical volumes about the most embarrassing achievements in Hollywood history, including The Fifty Worst Films of All Time.

Mr. Medved’s writing and television commentary on the film industry are based on first-hand experience. A member of the Writer’s Guild of America, he has worked on four major studio film projects.

He has been a frequent guest on many major television talk and news shows, including “The Tonight Show,” “ABC Nightline,” “Good Morning America” and “The David Letterman Show.” Also, his comments on the media and society have been published in The Wall Street Journal, The Washington Post, The New York Times, The Chicago Tribune and other leading newspapers.
