Charles Rice
Where and when
Dr. Charles Rice is co-editor of the American Journal of Jurisprudence and his areas of specialization as Professor of Law at Notre Dame University include constitutional law and jurisprudence.
He has been a consultant to various Congressional committees on constitutional issues, including the powers of the federal judiciary, right-to-life issues, Church-state relations and school prayer.
In 1961, he was one of the eight original founders of the New York Conservative Party and served as state vice chairman of the party from 1962 to 1969 and as a delegate to the New York State Constitutional Convention in 1967.
Rice has published numerous articles on constitutional and legal topics, and his books include Freedom of Association, The Supreme Court and Public Prayer, The Vanishing Right to Live, Authority and Rebellion, and Beyond Abortion: The Theory and Practices of the Secular State.
