Steven Hayward

Steven Hayward is  the Ronald Reagan Professor of Public Policy at Pepperdine University. Prior to joining UC, he was the F.K. Weyerhaeuser Fellow at the American Enterprise Institute. He holds a Ph.D in American Studies and an M.A. in Government from Claremont Graduate School.

Hayward is a regular contributor to Power Line, a conservative political blog with a national following.  He also frequently serves as a guest host for Bill Bennett’s national radio show “Morning in America” on the Salem Broadcasting Network, which is carried by 230 stations with an average daily listenership of 3 million. He is the author of many books including his two-volume biography of Ronald Reagan, The Age of Reagan: The Fall of the Old Liberal Order: 1964-1980 and The Age of Reagan: The Conservative Counterrevolution: 1980-1989.  Additionally, he has written biographies on President Jimmy Carter and British Prime Minister Winston Churchill.
