Steven Hayward is the Thomas W. Smith Distinguished Fellow at the Ashbrook Center, where he directs the Center’s new program in political economy, and is also the Thomas & Mabel Guy Fellow for the Center’s Master in American History and Government Program. He holds a Ph.D in American Studies and an M.A. in Government from Claremont Graduate School.
Hayward is a regular contributor to Power Line, a conservative political blog with a national following. He also frequently serves as a guest host for Bill Bennett’s national radio show “Morning in America” on the Salem Broadcasting Network, which is carried by 230 stations with an average daily listenership of 3 million. He is the author of many books including his two-volume biography of Ronald Reagan, The Age of Reagan: The Fall of the Old Liberal Order: 1964-1980 and The Age of Reagan: The Conservative Counterrevolution: 1980-1989.
