Assistant Professor of History
Michael Schwarz is Assistant Professor of History at Ashland University and serves as an assistant director of the Ashbrook Scholar Program. He has published essays on Founding-era politics and foreign relations, including articles on Jefferson, Madison, and Hamilton in the Journal of the Early Republic and the Journal of Southern History. He was named Ashland University’s Outstanding Male Faculty Member of the Year for 2011-12.
He has a Bachelor of Arts degree from St. Vincent College, a Master of Arts from Ohio University, and a PhD in history from the University of Kentucky.
