Christopher Flannery is a Professor of Politics in the History and Political Science Department and Director of the Humanities Program at Azusa Pacific University in Azusa, California. He is also the visiting Louaine S. Taylor Professor of American History & Government at Ashland University. He is a Senior Editor of the Claremont Review of Books and has been a member of the board of directors at The Claremont Institute for the Study of Statesmanship and Political Philosophy since 1981. He earned his M.A. and Ph.D. in Government from the Claremont Graduate School, and an M.A. in International History from the London School of Economics and Political Science at the University of London. His publications include essays and reviews in The Claremont Review of Books, Academic Questions, Interpretation, and The American Scholar, as well as chapters in several edited volumes.
